Everything in Free, plus what a warehouse costs you and how to fix it:

• Cost and performance — CloudWatch metrics with the RPU cost of the window you are looking at, the Table Advisor (distkey/sortkey, skew, stale statistics, and AWS’s own recommendations with the SQL they suggest), and query/load monitoring with WLM queueing and decoded COPY errors.
• The Redshift console, in the sidebar — parameters with non-default first, network and encryption, snapshots, maintenance, logging, scheduled actions, usage limits, events and reservations. Plus generated aws CLI for pause, resize and reconfigure, with what it interrupts and how to verify it.
• AI grounded in your live schema — NL→SQL, plan explanation, query optimisation, error fixing, table description and an @redlens chat participant. It runs on your own Copilot subscription; there is no AI service of ours in the path.

Buy the seats you need and assign them by email. Each engineer gets their own licence key, activated on their own machine — you are not sharing one key around, and when somebody joins or leaves you reassign that seat without touching anyone else’s. Billing stays with whoever bought it.

Seats belong to people, not to job slots you rotate through.

Enterprise support

Available on request: a support agreement with a response-time SLA, invoicing and purchase orders, and help with air-gapped or private-marketplace distribution. Write to us at support.

Cancelling, and everything else about your account

Your subscription, invoices, payment method, licence keys and machine activations live in the customer portal. Cancelling is a button there — no email to us, no retention call, no notice period. You keep Pro until the end of the term you already paid for.

Sign in with the address you bought with; the portal emails you a link, so there is no password to remember. Within 14 days you can also just ask for a refund, no questions.

One machine per licence

A licence activates one machine at a time. Changing computers — a new laptop, a reinstall — takes a moment and no email: run RedLens: Deactivate this machine in VS Code, or release it yourself from the customer portal. Then activate wherever you are now.

If you work across two machines regularly, buy two licences, or a Team seat each.

How buying works

Licences are bought outside VS Code and outside the Marketplace, in four steps:

1. Buy — RedLens Pro or Team seats. Checkout is handled by Polar, our merchant of record, so VAT and invoicing are theirs to get right, not ours.
2. Get your key from the receipt. Polar emails the receipt; the key itself is one click away, behind its Access purchase button, under Benefit Grants. It is also in your account at any time. It starts with REDLENS-.
3. Install RedLens Pro from the Marketplace, alongside the free extension.
4. Paste the key into VS Code with RedLens: Manage Licence → Enter a licence key.

There is no account to create and no RedLens server to talk to — the key is exchanged once to bind it to your machine, and verified offline against a public key inside the extension on every start after that.

The 14-day trial covers every Pro feature, starts on first activation, and asks for no card and no sign-up.

Two commitments that come with paying:

• A refund within 14 days, no questions asked.
• After twelve months of uninterrupted payment you keep a perpetual licence for the last version released during your paid term. No upgrades, no support — but a subscription that leaves you with nothing after years of paying is a reason not to start.
